It’s been quite on the blog front, but definitely not so quite on all other fronts at Core Confidence HQ this year. We successfully finished our second year of bringing positive body esteem programs, workshops, classes and talks to teens across Perth. In 2017 we reached just over 500 participants, 2018 saw us more than DOUBLE our in-person reach, and for that we say THANK YOU. We wouldn’t be able to have this impact without you booking your daughters into our programs, sharing our facebook events, booking our workshops via your school or generally helping us spread the word that Self Love does come from the core, out.
Our regular Mindful Movement classes at Girls Without Limits and Mind Body Heart ran throughout the school terms and we thoroughly enjoyed welcoming new and old faces into the Core Confidence community every week.
We built on past school relationships and were honoured to be invited into these new folds - meeting students at La Salle College, Greenwood College, Lakeland Senior High School and Narrogin Senior High School. We ran our first intimate boarding school workshop, a special memory for me (Founder, Sabine) as I returned to my old stomping grounds at Narrogin Residential College.
It was a year of collaborations as we teamed up with Art of Resilience to run our Teen Hub school holiday programs and we were thrilled to contribute to the successful Girl Empowerment Project earlier in March.
And of course we cannot forget the launch of Core Confidence’s 4 week Body Esteem Program in November. Specifically created for 14 and 15 year old girls, the pilot program received positive results and incredible feedback from participants and parents alike. So much so that the 4 week program is extending (to 6 weeks) and expanding. (Hint: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Dx9WnY7DGsM)
So from my heart to yours - whether you are a student, teacher, parent, supporter, cheerleader, message champion, like minded organisation, silent celebrator, collaborator, mentor, advisor - thank you for allowing me the privilege to spread self love.
Here’s to even more of it in 2019!
